TRUE designed and developed the new website and content strategy for the SEA Foundation on behalf of the Togolese philanthropist and footballer Emmanuel Adebayor.

The SEA Foundation aims to fund and support youth projects in Togo that have the potential to be rolled out to the rest of Africa. The foundation was set up by Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor in 2014 to bring together his various philanthropic endeavours, including his involvement in government initiatives and his ambassadorial roles for numerous NGOs and charities. The Foundation works in partnership with the Togolese Government.

SEA_INSERT TRUE were asked to design and develop a website which would appeal to a targeted audience. It had to reflect Adebayor’s vision; complement the vision of the SEA Foundation’s partners; and reach out to potential corporate investors interested in Africa, CSR and sustainability.

TRUE initially helped the SEA Foundation formulate their key messages before designing the website and drawing up the content strategy to reflect them.

The website is designed to increase awareness of SEA Foundation’s key objectives and help relevant CSR decision makes and potential partners understand that supporting SEA projects would complement and fulfil business objectives.

The website also helps donors understand their impact by showcasing projects and highlighting the cases of those empowered by the projects.

Strong imagery and compelling storytelling lay at the heart of design and content.

TRUE were asked by Emmanuel Adebayor’s SEA Foundation to document the SEA Festival which took place in June. Held at the Stade Municipal in Lomé, Togo, the line-up included the brightest stars from the west African music scene. Wizkid, Bisa Kdei, Lola Rae, Serge Beynaud, Tach Noir, Dieudonne Wila and Almok were just some of the acts on stage. These artists have been nominated for – and won – countless Nigerian Entertainment Awards as well as MTV and MOBO gongs and enjoy the support of millions of fans across the world. The video was meant to showcase the work that the SEA Foundation is doing and celebrate the incredible talent, potential and positivity of young people in Togo and across west Africa today.

TRUE continues to be involved in the progress of the SEA Foundation including the fundraising process. The project is a key part of TRUE’s commitment to sustainability and development, particularly on the African continent.
